Our Friendship
The poem 'Our Friendship' by Marcia M Griffith is a poem where someone is trying to express how much a person means to them and how much it would affect them if something happened to them. The third Stanza really stood out to me because it is describing how sometimes we take things for granted and that we don't know what we have until its gone and many people really need to think about how lucky they are.
I chose this poem because I know what it is like to have someone that means so much to you and that I know sometimes I take things for granted and I really need to stop and think. The Author used four types of writing in this poem. Rhythm, Personification, Metaphor and rhyme. Rhythm is when an beat runs through the entire poem and each line has the same rhythm/beat. Rhyme means when two lines rhyme with each other and Personification means an object given human characteristics.

Through Thick and Thin
The poem Through Thick and Thin means to me that when you have someone that means so much to you and that you will always be their to help them and always be their for them through anything. I chose this poem because I believe this is how friendship should work even though sometimes it doesn't in the end and sometimes people need to think about how lucky they are to have so many people that care about them. The author used types of writing Rhyme and Rhythm. Rhythm is when an beat runs through the entire poem and each line has the same rhythm/beat.
You Think
The poem You Think by Melissa Bulaong is about someone who had a friend that they once trusted but went behind their back and lost their trust and they couldn't believe they trusted that person. I chose this poem because I have had experiences of this type of thing and I just think it suited in well with situations i have experienced/been through. The author used 3 types of writing Rhyme, Rhythm, Metaphor. Metaphor compares two different things.
